New England Top Shooting Duo Seeing More Targets through SunBuster® Lenses

SUNBUSTER® CORRECTS THE FLAW OF ORDINARY SUNGLASS

SunBuster®, the stablemate of golf’s favorite GustBuster®, introduced at the 2005 PGA Show in Orlando its new GolfCorrect lens concept. “Our GolfCorrect™ lenses are optically designed and ground to undo one of the most common problems with ordinary sunglasses,” commented Steven Asman company president. “We call it Eye-Plane™ Shift Distortion (ESD) Golf,” he continued. “Because of the wrap or curvature, most sunglasses lenses cause prismatic distortion with any head or eye movement up, down or sideways.”

Prismatic distortion is particularly punishing for golfers. The golfer first sets up to the ball at address looking through the center of the sunglass lens. Then, in order to clear the shoulders for the golf swing, the head and chin tilt up while the eyes tilt down looking through the bottom half of the lens. This shift in eye-plane causes a prismatic shift that makes it appear the golf ball has moved. SunBuster’s GolfCorrect lens eliminates ESD.

New Lenses Are an Eye Up on Competition

FARMINGDALE, New York. SunBuster®, the sunglass stablemate to world renowned GustBuster® umbrella, has introduced its new SportCorrect™ eyewear. Steve Asman, company president says of the new concept, “Our SportCorrect lens concept is a byproduct of what we call ColorScience. We’ve have scientifically matched specific lens colors and transmission levels to specific sports activities and specific light conditions. Having the right lens for the right sport is a true performance enhancer.”

SportCorrect lenses are activity-specific for shooting, hunting and fishing; The ShootCorrect™ and FishCorrect™ systems. Each one of these activities requires its very own set of eyes in order to optimize visual acuity and enhance performance. To satisfy these idiosyncratic needs, SunBuster has developed more than a dozen different ColorCorrect lenses in its Polychrome spectrum system.

“Color is the single most important factor in seeing correctly for a given sport,” added Asman. “Color is not a physical reality. It’s an interpretation. The brain interprets the messages sent to it by the eyes.” Not only do the SunBuster ColorCorrect lenses optimize the color information gathered by the eyes they optimize the amount of light that passes through to the eyes. Both models are also available with patented prescription insert lens. Inserts fit behind the sunglass lens. Saves cost of multiple prescription glasses.
